So - I have a '69 that I am thinking of converting into a half cab. I live in South Florida, and I wanted to know of the closest company anyone knew of. I know I'll have to travel, just don't know how far.

Also - in terms of price - what do you think something like that would cost - soup to nuts?

Thanks.

Closest place that may have it is Duffs in Tennessee but I am not certain they still stock them.
JBG definitely does. They are in Michigan.
Your going to pay about $800.00 bucks for a new fiberglass one. Then a couple hundred more for a steel bulkhead, windows and seals.
It is quite the investment to go new. Try to find a used oem steel one. They show up here and ebay every once in awhile. An oem steel one will undoubtedly need some work but it will allow you to spend the money a little at a time as opposed to all at once when buying new.
Good luck with your search.

To compare, a guy here in Portland has an original w/bulkhead f/s for $750.00 I think.
No dents, but needs paint and has 4 or 5 lights in the top.

Half cab

Check out Broncodesign.com I have a set of there flares , they do nice work.
They have a half cab that is better than the metal ones in many ways, and looks like the factory top. They are located close to Nashville.
Tom's has the cheapest bulkhead.

Best option in my opinion unless you find one local. They usually ask all the money for a steel one when they show up. You can always cut down a full top as well, search on here as many have done it this way a well.

I have the one from bronco designs and it is far better than any steel used one I could find. Fit is perfect finish is awesome. Cory and the guys over there are great to work with and customer service is number one. All that said I live in Washington state so my top with shipping was about $1300. But for what I got worth every penny. Check out "Doghows LUBR build thread". Lots of pics there.

Bronco Designs top is great. Beats other fiberglass tops hands down. Other tops are unfinished inside, like a fiberglass boat under the console and transom. BD are double wall with the inside just as slick as the outside. If I get a chance I will post a pic of mine on the inside.

Ha Ha. Thanks for all the posts and thoughts guys. I've never seen that Franko. That looks pretty awesome.

So, I need a new top - and since mine was a total pain to take off, I figured maybe the 1/2 cab was the way to go. Seeing pics online and really loving the way the 1/2 cab looks. But your point about the fit/size and looking at some of the pics posted, I think you may be right. I'm also looking at this soft top by Rampage which seems pretty user friendly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9e0J6h9758

I'm kinda up in the air at this point.
