I used to take my steel hardtop off by myself.
Unbol, turtle shell on my back, stand up, walk it halfway off, hop down and close tailgate, find weight center, and overhead press walk it to the rack.

In the late nineties I drove my Bronco everyday. Decided one day I wanted a soft top. Bought one and installed it. Decided I didn't like it. Was too noisy, too drafty. reinstalled my hardtop and never put it back on. Of course I was driving everyday 10 to 15 miles a day most of that at 60 miles an hour.
