Just finishing a restoration and have two bugs left. Heater motor will come on for a few seconds and moan and that's it. Wiper motor makes a buzzing sound but won't come on. Thought it might be a bad fuse, checked them, couple were rusty so cleaned them up and still nothing. The bottom fuse was super hot. Could it be a ground problem? I put a ground from neg battery post to heater and still nothing.

That fuse is for the heater motor. The heat means you have a lot of resistance there still. That resistance is dropping the voltage available to the motor. Not a ground problem on the heater. A shorted motor will do the same thing. Wiper motor is not fused. It uses a circuit breaker built into the switch. That one could have a bad ground.

Thanks Viper, you seem to be a wealth of knowledge. I took the heater assembly out. I took the motor out, tested it to a battery and it worked fine. Checked the plug that the positive from the heater motor goes into and it had a bit of rust, cleaned it up and it works fine now. I'll look into the wipers on the weekend.
