Unfortunately, I will not be able to work on my bronco until about a couple of weeks from now, but when I do, I will definitely inform about my findings and progress.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Lol! Sorry about that Skuzzlebut. When I first started this thread, I was working on my Bronco at its storage location, which is a few hours away. I had to return after the weekend, but I will post my findings immediately after I return to work on it, which will be in the near future. ;)

Now I remember about the thread being larger. I drilled my bracket out so i could use a straight bolt, sorry about not remembering that critical detail.

From what I remember when i last pulled my stock bracket off the motor the threads that are in the block will not back out through the bracket because the thread diameter is larger than the hole in the bracket so you may be getting some bind there with the bolt trying to pass out through the bracket. The bracket should be completely unbolted and pulled from the stud first or loos on the stud so the bolt can be backed out with out it trying to cut new threads on its way out through the bracket.

Hey guys,

Well, I finally removed the stubborn PS bracket from my head. TJK74, you were correct! The thread diameter was in fact larger than the hole in the bracket. Fortunately, I was able to back the bracket out a little which allowed me to unscrew the bolt from the head. My new WH ps saginaw pump and bracket are finally installed!

Thanks everyone for your terrific advice
