HELP! How to move door striker location

I have a 73 bronco that came with no doors. I found a near perfect set of 66doors that were too good to pass up. Problem is they won't fit due to the striker being in the wrong location. Anyone know how to relocate the proper striker...do I need to replace the whole post? I don't have a plasma cutter to cut out metal and reweld. Obviously the easiest thing would be to find someone to swap doors with but the likelyhood of finding equal quality doors is probably slim.

I found some old links on the forum but nothing really detailed. If you can help it would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks
Justin

Your 66 doors are worth more than a set of 69 and up doors in the same shape. I would think a trade could be worked out with someone. Otherwise changing strikers on both sides is in order.

Post your location and I'll bet someone within driving distance will offer a trade.

Your best bet is a sale or trade. The 66 striker is round, the later years is oval. I know you can move the latch mechanisim in a later model door to make it fit a 66/67. I don't know if you can do the reverse.
Replacing the entire striker post is the best way, but honestly I think ford probably improved the design when they changed it in 68, so you will probably be happier with a later set of doors.

Especially if you ever have to replace or repair them again and, this time, can't find a decent or affordable '66/'67 door to save your life.
