Help w/C4 auto leak vicinity trans & adapter

I have finally managed to get the C4 pan to stop leaking....almost. Now it is leaking between the C4 and adapter or adapter and T-case....can't tell for sure. It drips around the crossmember(ref pic's); not a lot, but enough to be a problem. Also, it only seems to leak after sustained highway speeds? I have researched cb for similar issues; confirmed trans fluid level is correct; vent clear, etc....

Appreciate any thoughts/advice to confirm leak location and what seal or gasket to replace first.

Thanks!

It's probably coming from the vent. Sustained highway speeds will really heat the fluid and cause it to expand. You need to check the level just after one of those drives.

Viperwolf thanks for the reply; I will check again after a highway drive; the vent seems to be working fine, but maybe I am missing something. The vehicle was not driven much for a few years before I purchased and I have been slowly working through some issues...it does run a little higher RPM's since I dropped the tire size down to 32 vice 33; tach shows ~3200 @ 65....not sure this has any impact on the trans issues, but thought I would mention it.

I would say vent as well. Now after sitting a few years the pan gasket could have shrank a little and may just be leaking a bit. I would probably do a check on the pan bolts they may need to be tightened up a little. Of course it may be a good time for a filter and fluid change which would net you a new gasket as well.

The trans fluid, filter and gasket have all been changed; pan "rails" were a little warped but fit a lot better now; very little leaking from the pan. I will check the adapter bolts....Thanks for the comments!
