I run one with a Detroit locker in my 95 YJ. Custom built from a 78 front axle. It was built by JB's 4X4 in Kingman IN. There phone number is 1-765-397-3902.
Yes. TrueHi9 is on my radar.
I am looking at hp60 vs. Truehi9
I can't understand how a front gear set works in the back. I also dont understand why this is such a niche market. Who doesnt want a hi pinion? It seems like a no brainer when lifting suspensions.
X2...reverse cut gears are not as strong in a rear application. The opposite is true up front, were the reverse cut gears make the front R&P stronger given the normal direction of loading (forward). If you wheel in reverse mostly, then reverse that concept. ;D
If you really want a high-pinion in the rear, then slap some portal outers on that bad boy and have you some fun.
Which way are we talking in cost?
Portals are how much?
Because at this point....I may have to.
But then, I would have to lower the suspension and reduce travel.
That doesnt sound better.
Ok so now we are dhp60 vs. th9 vs. Portals. Oh man. My head is spinning.
You dont really want to go there with the portals. Them suckers are huge money. Go with the high 9 and put at least one thrust block in it. very strong, lighter, cheaper. You can put any end on the axle you want.
