I wanted the FItech thing to be .....well ....perfect I guess....
It was on my list but some folks have struggled with it or its parts. FItech was good to them but it kind of scared me. They prolly just need to work out the bugs, which they may have done by now.

Holley has been really good to me. I would trust them to have vetted their system well.

Can't wait to hear the debate go on.

I am still swayable....

I was about to start this very thread. Holley Sniper is $995 now from WH. I am thinking about trying it out.

Thinking the same after getting an email from WH about the new Holly EFI. I'm planning to pull the trigger on the fitech soon so I don't miss out on the rebate... but the Holly unit is appealing! Ugh decisions, decisions.

Being a holley its probably a pretty good system ,I haven't used either yet but want a system in the future. cant wait to hear the comments from people running both kits. I do know fitech has a one that accepts boost in case you want to run a turbo or supercharger, forced air or draw through.something to think about in the long run.

I am currently installing a Holley Sniper on a customer truck. I waited forever to get it and finally was able to buy it from CJ Pony Parts. I then ordered the supplemental Fuel pump kit (the rest of the master kit) directlly from Holley. The kit contained the wrong Bosch o2 sensor(wouldn't plug into the throttle body). Holley immediately sent me the correct one overnight service for free. I will keep you posted as it progresses. Mark in San Diego, Beach City Broncos.

I'm still very happy with the FiTech unit I have. If we all meet up again you can take a closer look at how it's set up.

I got excited for a second there....then I realized, Orange County "California" not Florida....sigh....

Well..... If any type of Tech Support or warranty support is important to you, I would steer clear of FiTech. I have had a very distasteful experience with them in those departments. I have a FiTech system and am currently running my Edelbrock 1405 with a much better result. I sent my FiTech back to the "Factory" after getting an RMA due to an injector issue I was having. It came back within 10 days and was just thrown in a box with the controller thrown in loose with the TBI unit and no explanation of what they found or even what was fixed, if anything. There was no call to me or any kind of service documentation. I tried calling three times and was sent to a mailbox that was full. Alot of guys have had no issues and love the system, but if there is an issue, be prepared to be in a circus because their tech support guys are a bunch of clowns. Just my 2C.

This sort of stuff has me thinking Holley.
Holley has taken back a 5 year old T/A from me and replaced it, no questions asked. They've sent me stuff for free. Overnighted stuff on their dime. I know they're not perfect but Holley has been good to me.

I'm planning on going with the Holley Sniper after researching them both for the last few weeks and seeing them both at PRI this year. HOT ROD mag just put one on a 600 HP SBF stroker on a EB in just over an hour and then took off the for a 40 minute drive to get tacos. In that time, the system self learned and it purred like a kitten on idle and roared with the throttle. The videos are on you tube to watch the whole conversion and drive. The interface seems better and it it made in the US. I'm not the biggest fan of Holley carbs on street vehicles (Edelbrock/Carter fan), but they do make nice stuff and have good customer support. Their universal EFI tank conversion system looks really nice as well.

Watched a few videos on the Holley Sniper and it looks promising. I think having the backing of a large proven company is a benefit no doubt but do appreciate the small companies coming in with a budget system to bring the big guys in to reasonable costs.

Although FiTech is local for me......

Leaning towards Holley but still interested an comments from our CB friends.

Thanks,

There is a LOT more info out there on the FiTech units - but that will change over time.

My FiTech has been great and runs so much better than my carb did. On the other hand, Holley stood behind a system that was bought buy a previous owner 12+ years ago, helped me get it running and a new computer chip. Tough call, Fitech did drive the price down, Holley was fine charging us 2-3k for the average fuel injection system prior to FiTech.

Im glad this thread is here i have been contemplating efi for a while now and it sounds like holly is what you more experienced folks are using. Its always good to hear reports on customer service because it seems the companys that take care of customers always win. Some companys still operate as though people who use these products dont talk to one another. And if its coming from wh thats a double plus because thats another company that understands customer support. Thanks for the thread ill start looking into it.

Fitech didn't make Holley lower their price, it made Holley come out with a comparable system, Sniper. The Holley Terminator system is capable of more than the Fitech or Sniper, although not necessary for most. I run the Holley Terminator with no regrets, however if the Fitech or Sniper had been available when I switched I would be running one of those.

Pretty much proves my point there was no reason for them to offer something more reasonable for most people looking for a carb replacement. With FITECH's offering, Holley had to respond.
