Quick story. I started my Bronco build way back in 2007. Due to many things it has taken a very long time to get around to starting the engine. Anyway, I had purchased a Holley carb way back in 2008, initially thinking I'd be installing my engine and driving the truck. That didn't happen. Found too much rust and ended up doing a total frame off. Anyway, I just recently installed my Holley carb and got the engine running and when I did the brand new Holley carb that I bought way back in 2008 leaked gas. It had been sitting new in the box on my shop shelf. Examination I found a crack in the secondary bowl, that I am sure I did not do. I figured I was screwed.
Well, I contacted Holley to see what they could do, explained that I had the new carb that I had not tried to use until now and it was leaking due to a crack. They asked for numbers off the carb and pictures of the bowl. Then came back to me that the carb was part of a lot of bad castings and if I shipped it back they would send me a brand new carb. I shipped it back and very quickly they sent me a brand new carb! What a great company.

I thought I was the only one that happened to.

Mine was due to a casting shift.

Bought mine about the same time and didn't use it until 2012.
I even talked to them about the fact that I had purchased a 770 and probably should have gotten the 670. No problem they said, just send it back to us and we will replace it with a 670. Free....yup free. I paid for shipping.
You probably think the story ends there.....nope....Fed Ex lost my old carb. ....it never arrived at Holley....
I spoke to a Holley tech named Kyle XX. Told him how I had sent it but Fed Ex lost it. His response was classic, "
"Yea Fed Ex sucks", "You sound like an honest guy I am sure you sent yours out to us, so what's your address so I can send you this new Holley T/A and you can get back to the important things in life like women and beer"

Yup, I will never forget Kyle XX or whatever his real name is.....

I have had my 600 Holley on my Fairlane for about 15 years now. Has sit dormant for a couple years on and off along the way and always starts and runs great. Never had a problem with it.

Good for them. With the carb market dwindling due to fuel injection and Edelbrock they need to take care of the customer. They once owned the aftermarket. I grew up on Holly's.

I had the same thing happen to me put it on the shelf and got it out a few years later and seen the cracks and they sent me a brand new one. I think mine was about the same year as yours.
