Th above diagram from Thegreatjustino is a helpful one but has a few things missing that were key for me to understand the whole setup which is why I photoshopped it into this ugly one.

The hydroboost releases about a tablespoon of fluid when you let off of the brake pedal. The return line from the steering box flows fluid whenever the engine is running.

toddz69 said:I'd recommend cutting the rod and then weld or thread a 3/8" coupler on the rod coming out of the unit. Thread the hole rod and and use a jam nut to lock it into the position you want. Extremely handy for setting that pedal height exactly where you want it!
