How do you seal off the dipstick tube hole?

Well I drove it down there yesterday, I think I may have lost a drop or two of oil, but not like before. There is some oil taht does come out of the dipstick tube now but it was very light. It sounds like a gasket was never installed back into the pan where the hole is so this is causing it to leak. I agree, why does it leak? Pressure? I know my old engine was sealed like this so maybe it is just my luck. I will get a second opinion and I appreciate everyon'e help.
