How long have you been building your Bronco?

It seems like I have been working on my Bronco forever. Just wondering how long it took (or has taken) to build your Bronco.

According to my receipts I rebuilt my front axle in April of 2008. So I guess that’s when I first started building. I don’t even have a rolling chassis yet….
I am hoping that someone will pipe up and say they are slower than I am lol! ;D

LMAO!!! I am not knocking you but you just made My day. I am only a few months ahead of you!! I am hoping to be able to drive mine in 3-4 weeks!! Mine was a complete resto mod (frame off). I had no idea it would take this long. But I must say that I hope like hell that I enjoy driving it as much as I enjoyed building it.

I got mine fired up at the MEB Wrench and Roast three years ago. I had been working on it for close to 12-13 years before that. It still needs a cage and tires so I guess it still isn't finished.

I got my first one in '04. It's in my shop. Then 2 more followed me home...Unfortunately, what goes in the shop stays in the shop...Softball season's winding down now maybe I'll have some time soon....till the wife has something else for me to do....

Eight years on my frame-up build. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever really drive this thing.

Hmm does just talking about it count? The closest its been to a rebuild was a halfass frame off back in about 1980 to replace the rusty tub. It was a daily driver from 1973 until 2003 so it was never really finished. Now its not a daily driver and I still havent taken it apart to do a proper restore. On top of that I bought another one a few years back luckily it doesnt need a whole lot. but its a bronco and will probably never be totally finished.

Had mine for about 12 years now. I've been slowly building it and have yet to do a stitch of body work on it. The economy killed a lot of my Bronco fund, so any improvements are still on hold for a while. All of my car projects are just sitting these days :(

Mine is somewhat a daily driver for the last 15 years. I take it down now and then to upgrade a portion of it but for the most part it's been drivable most of the time. Its a long term ongoing project. I'm about to take it apart again to install the 408 stroker I've been building for the past 2 years and also install a zf 5 speed and a 205 transfer case. It's always something. Never quite finished.

Don't make me count... Yes, I have been building for more than three years and if I could spend three weeks on it, without interruption I could be driving it. Body off total nut and bolt replacement, rebuild, and upgrade. Life has gotten in the way so often. Father's death, brother in Iraq, mother needs, five girls, T-ball, vehicle maintenance, so many reasons. I was prepared to purchase a new hood at least three times too. Money seems to disappear. The biggest complaint I have is work! My job doesn't pay to work more hours, salary, and it has not increased in six years. I am ready for a new beginning, I wish my boss was reading this! With a little luck I could have the Bronco completed this time next year, I bet I have not spent five hours on it this whole year...
