I use a nice latex brush (one-coater) to avoid hairs and drips. But for general touch ups and smaller parts I use the cheapest one that Ace Hardware carries.

yes you are lucky...cannot go wrong with properly applied POR. All else pales :p and eventually rusts....

That's a good plan. Prep correctly though!

one pint is more than sufficient. I did mine with a brush and it looks like it was sprayed.

I might consider purchasing a little more than a pint. I use the stuff all the time and I think it may take a little more than a quart if you plan to do the recommended 2 coats and brush the entire inner tub. If it were me, I'd purchase 2 quarts

How do you prep the frame before applying?
Sandblasting is Ideal!
I wire wheeled mine with excellent results with my 4 1/2 inch electric grinder (otherwise known as my 2nd saviour).
I would not try to wire brush an entire frame - long, tedious, and difficult. You'll save a lot of work by getting a grinder - IMHO you'll need one anyway for other tasks.

i was goijng to clean everything up and then use herculiner in my interior. does the por-15 look good? i'm never going to have a full top on, so i plan to herculiner the whole thing inside. should i use the por first? i would think that the herc will seal it up just as good. what do you guys think?

If you look in the mass buy section there is a 10% off offer. I just oredered some and chacked around on prices and the mass buy is a good deal. The por15 website is POR15.com if you want some product info.

Just use a wire-wheel to get the scales and loose stuff off. It needs rust to bond properly. Otherwise you have to use a metal prep so it will stick.
