how to remove window trim from window frame?

along the post and lintel of the window frame on my 1970 sport is the trim that appears to clamp onto the window frame.
i was able to remove one piece but i bent the next one and the rest are not budging.
what can i use to remove this without damaging the thin metal?
also, what is this made of? is it alluminum or chromed something?

Good luck! been there, screwed it up and had to find some replacements. Jeepsters putty knife trick is about the only thing that will even remotely work. It is aluminum and can be buffed to help clean it up.

Again, like Jeepster said. If you do bend it up at the edges a bit, don't worry to much cause after you reinstall it you can bend the edges back down with a rubber mallot/hammer.
