Increasing HP/TQ on Explorer 5.0

I've had an AOD with 33s and 4.56 gears. Not enough gear.

I now have 33s with a 4R70W and 4.88 gears. This should be better.

If I remember correctly the OD is .68? A 4.11 gear (x.68) would act like a 2.79 gear in OD.

There are many RPM / Gear / Speed calculators on line to help you out.

Having never installed gears, what's the relative difficulty level?

Gears are cheap enough if I install them.
