As owners we are at the winning end of this, no need to complain.

We're on the wining end . Once .

That's it

If you want to sell and not replace it , then yes you're on the winning side

A few years ago I tried to sell mine , with efi and a nv3550 for $5000 and had a few ll alleges and people complaining about the paint and a few "oh. I can't drive a stick ".

The price of old worn out Porsche 911s has quadrupled in the last 5 years
And if I had the space id start buying and storing 88-91 K-5 Blazers
They are getting hard to find , I been kinda looking cause that's what I'm gonna replace my 04 expedition with.

Just makes me sick to see all the cars that I have owned and sold for $500 that are now worth $75k

I am officially now one of those people who will let my old vehicles rot to the ground before I sell them

Watching the slows where the guy buys a vehicle for $1000 and flips it for $9k two days later
Or buys a rare classic for $50k and flips it a week later for $175k
Screw them , i only have two old vehicles left and they will rot to the ground before some one else gets rich flipping it

I looked for a few months for a 69-70 mustang. Fastbacks were out of my price range, coupes were more reasonable. Could find nothing in the $5-10k range here in CA that were not (like Bronco's) rust buckets and beat to death.

Everyone felt that their Mustang was worth a lot of $$$ and a great candidate for restoration. "You can buy all the parts for them now". Everyone watches the TV shows and auctions and sees the big dollar signs.

I ended up buying a 96 Saleen Mustang for $5,800. It needs some freshening
and cleaning, but it is all there.

I feel that I came out ahead... I know I am not driving a classic, but I would have dumped a lot of $$ into a 69 to make it handle/stop/go like the 96. Added bonus of ac and cruise control.

Glad I got into Broncos when I did... Wish I could find another reasonably priced one to build... But that is a pipe dream now.

Right now the convertable mustangs are cheaper than the coupes
Really strange

And they've all gotten expensive
I remember when the tuna boat mustangs were almost free

Makes me wonder when the Mustang 2 , that were really just rebodied pintos will be worth anything ?
Course the original mustangs were just rebodied Falcons...

Around where I live the '65-'67 Mustangs are easier to find and often less expensive than '68-'70 Mustangs.

Hey I was close! I guess '70 was just another small step for Mustang, but another giant leap towards ol' Fatty

You mean besides a lot of car guys that do their own work fixing them
up being prices out, more desirable for thieves, when I need to park 3 blocks
away from a beach restaurant, message boards filled with richie richies
having 12 page discussions on different waxes (luckily, hasn't happened here),
parts are more expensive since owners will pay.

Nothing good about high prices unless you are a dealer or just
want to liquidate hobby and you bought in years ago.

Yes, usually when I'm returning to the Bronco from somewhere, I'll say "sweet, it's still there!" ;D

Around here I have that thought as well even when I return to my late model truck;)

I have been going to Ford Nationals for 7-8 years. Saw a perfectly restored EB in 2010 for $9000. I should have driven it home. Last year I was lucky enough to live near a no reserve EB that was just to my liking. Softtop, V8, manual, clean, rust free. I could have had it for $16k but couldn't pull the trigger. Now I believe I have been priced out of the market. Still enjoy coming here and hearing about all of your toys. Maybe my 66 mustang will shoot up in value so I can trade for a Bronco. Hard to justify having both.

Im guessing you and I live nowhere near each other, check this out!

https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/6007143321.html

What a difference 1250 miles makes.
A search of my nearest CL for sale by owner looking for 1964 - 1970 Mustangs for $17,000 or less came up with 34 from $1900* up.

*that one was pretty far away.

One of the car dealers not too far from me has had the slogan 'Drive a little, save a lot'.

In this case 'Drive a lot, save a lot more'.

Even the print motor magazines that resolutely ignored the 50th anniversary and kept on posting stories about all sorts of other vehicles and Chevy trucks, have begun to list early Broncos as noticeably appreciating in value over the last couple of years. So it is noticeable enough that they have to mention it. So I guess that makes it somewhat official.

Deals can be had on almost anything. You just need to be patient, persistent and have cash ready to go. I spent 2 years searching for each one of my Broncos.

That is 100% correct. Initially, I thought I would have time to make a decision or travel but in the end, I had to trust my gut, have cash ready, and be able to leave in a very short amount of time.

In the end, I traveled 600 miles to get what I wanted. A nice driver with good paint, nice interior, 4 year old rebuilt engine, etc My dad knew I had been looking for something but didn't know I was looking at Bronco's. He assumed I was looking for a Mustang, Galaxie, Camaro, etc. But I always liked the Bronco's and my wife did too. My dad is a classic car guy and we go to the Harrisburg Mecum auction and watch the auctions on tv and what not. So when I brought this Bronco home last May, he took one look at it and told me I was out of my mind, they're not desirable, etc. Now that the Bronco's are a little more on his radar since I bought it he takes notice of them at auctions and what not, and now he thinks I "stole" it.

I've put some elbow grease into it this winter and it's better than when I bought it. I had it out last night and drove to my sisters and my dad was there with some of his friends. He's telling these guys how valuable these things are and what they're doing at auction and what not. A complete 180 from the day I parked it in my garage. He actually likes talking about Bronco's now, haha.

But, it's also a bit of a curse too. My old little league coach had several early bronco's when I was a kid and is the main reason I liked them. He has since sold all of them before they got popular, maybe 20-25 years ago. He would sell a pretty decent driver for $2,500 to $4,000 or so to some high school kid or someone like that. He is now priced out of the market and can't afford them. He would love to have one again but it won't happen at these prices. The worst one he had was one that became his camp vehicle as it wasn't road worthy. That thing has since been scrapped but we joke what that thing would bring in today's market because someone would have bought it. He picked up an 85 or 86 Bronco last summer for $1,800 and it's a bit of a project but at least he has something to work on.

If I had kept every bronco I've owned and sold them at current prices, I'd retire.
No one saw this coming, or at least didn't know where the ceiling would be. I sold one to Techlaf just before the market started to increase, he got a GREAT value! It's all good though, I'm fortunate to have 2 Broncos, both bought cheap, around 25-30% of what they'd bring on EBay today. But they ain't for sale.
