So my bronco got home this morning and the box it returned in was just a bit heavier than it was when I sent it. The box had an awesome mini Super Celebration banner taped to it. As I unwrap the contents, there is an extra chunk 'O somthin' wrapped up in the middle. LoneRanger and the GCM Boys (and Girls.. can't leave out Panda!), sent me a complete motor/motor plate, R4 tranny and a married LRT-Case.
Words can't describe how floored I am at the kindness and support i've gotten from these guys. The pressure is on to get this thing rolling!
super nice RC builds.. but man Headhunter's video with the electric motor was annoying. Would have been so much better with some music playing instead of that the whole time.
Yay! thanks so much Ed, your tiny chassis made the week for us up in Tennessee! We very much would like to hijack it again next year to display. We sure hope you might be able to plan on attending too!
Just a quick update on the progress of Mini-Bronco. Decided it needed to be a half-cab LUBR
so on with the show...
Made a press die for the uncut rear fenders and formed them to shape.
Got the body blasted and in primer to halt the flash rust and then fit the quarters.
Forming blank for rear corners and test bend... still needs some work
On to the rockers... Build another forming blank to shape the step. Silver solder to the outer rocker and test fit.
