I am installing extended radius arms on my 73 bronco. I bought the new brackets. I was wondering if there is anything I need to be concerned with or if there are any tricks or tips anyone had? Thanks in advance

Have you worked on your Bronco's suspension before 347? If not, you may need new, or "enhanced" jackstands.
Because you need to jack up at the frame as well as controlling the axle with a jack, you will either need extra tall stands or at least make some cribbing to support them or the truck.
I was able to use a long 4x4 extended between the two frame rails with jack stands underneath it, but only after I bought taller stands in the first place.

Good luck. Oh, and follow instructions!
And now would be a good time to verify your wheelbase is the same on both sides. If your original radius arm mounts were welded on incorrectly from the factory, and you measure off of them for your new mounting points, you could be missing a grand opportunity to correct the factory flaw.

Tip - You can lift the front of your Bronco with an engine hoist/lift. Just make sure you support the frame with jack stands (or some type of cribbing) or jack stands on cribbing/blocking, as DirtDonk suggests.:)

which long arms are they, I am sure someone has some instructions. if you know how much extended they are, just measure back from the original mounting point and move the new bracket back that far. bolt and weld new brackets to the frame.

What Skiddy said. Was hoping you had instructions so that there would be no guesswork when it came to just how much longer than stock they were, OR if the new brackets were to be welded a specific distance behind a particular landmark on the frame.
Usually it's the original bracket, but not always.

Like said though, someone will know (hopefully!).

The new brackets have dowels that go in the hole in the frame. I believe the long arms are from all 4 fun off-road. Not positive but I think that is where they are from.

Slightly longer wheelbase, better approach angle upfront. Just a little bit helps a lot.
Doing this correctly requires moving your spring towers, steering box and track bar.

That would seem to be a very reasonable price. http://all4funoffroad.com/Radius-Arms_c_12.html Anyone have any input or analysis on a 4Fun, Lars bars, Duff Long Arm comparison? Howard

That’s kind of the base price.
$475 Extended radius arms
$125 Frame brackets
$30 Rubber radius arm bushings
$100 shipping your cores back. I’m not sure how much the core charge is, if you don’t want to send your stock arms back.
$630

Least expensive: Lars bars

Easiest: Duff long arms

Not as good a deal as it first appears: All4Fun
