Just came across this on the tube of you's, and thought you all might like it.
Just happens to be working on a '77 Ranger's gas door recess to fix up some rust.
Nice and short, and gets the points across nicely.

Enjoy.

Thanks Paul....I love watching and learning the bodywork like the guys at Kindig and Martin Bros can do using forms, tape and fiberboard. My fender flares are cracking with age, need to be larger and I'd like to tackle some metal flares. We'll see... 😱

Nice - It's cool watching someone with skills learned over time do a job like this guy did.

As my Dad used to say - I Love work - I can watch it for hours...

I HATE UPSTATE NY
I get that he's trying to show what anyone can do on their own with simple tools. I dont discount his repair, but making a buck either out of wood or 3D printing (choose your technology lol) stamping it out in a press, would have been the direction I would have gone for that tight offset.

Damn! That's great work. The finished product looks like it just came from the factory. Aspirations.

Paul - Curious what you and others think about a similar approach to return cut frenders to uncut. Less of an issue for the fronts than the rears, but a 'standard' patch panel would be cheaper and less expensive to ship. Maybe a vendor can take this idea and run with it ....
