exactly and please do a compression test if you can. I still think your engine vacuum could be higher even though you got it up to 15inch.

Yes! Don't want any potential issues.

Depending on the cam and CR.
My vacuum was 6.5in.

well, do vacuum check please. since new engine, i'd do it first assuming new engine has compression. But vacuum, helps decide timing, carb, leaks, etc.
