Too cool of a story not to share with you all...

So recently, a friend at work asked me if I ever remembered a yellow and white Bronco being in the area where I live. A few rolled through my mind, but the only one that I knew was originally yellow and had been around a while is the Vineyard Gold '75 my Dad bought recently for a hunting truck. But you never know around here. A TON of people had them back in the day.

The reason he asked, when he was a teenager he hunted with a fellow who owned it, and while looking through some old pictures he found one of him and some hunting buddies around the Bronco on a hunting trip.

Most of you know I love vintage Bronco pics anyways, so I asked him to bring it in for me to see. So first thing this morning, he shows it to me and to my amazement, there is my Dad's '75 in a 34+ year old picture! It still has the same homemade back bumper, same aftermarket roll bar, same color! Amazing!

Great story! When I was a kid I saw a guy driving a half cab Bronco at a campground about 2 hours from where I lived. When I was 19 I met and became friends with the owner and told him I remember seeing him driving around at this campsite when I was young and he told me yes, that is where he used to deer hunt and that was him. He let me borrow the Bronco for about a month after that, then I lost contact with him (I moved, college, life stuff). So 15 years later, that Bronco popped up on Craigslist last fall in a town about 2 hours away and looked exactly the same! A member on here who lives in another part of the country actually contacted me asking if I could check it out for him. I told him I knew this Bronco very well without going to look :D

Those ol guys look guilty as sin in that picture. Wonder what they got caught doing?

Now you're going to have to go put some white Wagon Wheels on the thing to bring it back into spec!

Great story.

My thoughts exactly. Looks like maybe a game warden pulled up and spotted an illegally shot deer in the back of the Bronco and he asked, "Who shot that deer." The guys' response to him was "what deer?"
