Just saw a short infomercial in a new product to combat rust. A 3 step process, Kleen ,Blast and Seal. Anyone have any history with this? They had a spray can with a 360 deg spray nozzle that you run up the inside of your frame and it coats as you pull it out.
The finish on the brushed product seemed to flow better than POR,although I have no personal experience with either one.

Miikee,
From what I understand ,a partner of por broke off to make Rust Bullet. Same stuff just a little better, I did buy the complete kit from Rust bullet and so far only used it inside my doors for protection , been real happy with the kit so far. Brushed it on and it laid down very nice.

I don't know about a spray can for the frame, I bought the spray gun they had to do the inside of my frame but haven't got that far in my build yet. Just like por you have to top coat with there paint, if it is exposed to sun light because the material is not UV stabile.

They were good and easy to deal with, fast and FREE shipping.

Hope this helped

You can get on KBS' website and get on their email list. I get all kinds of deals about once a month from them, such as 10% discounts and free shipping. I haven't purchased any yet but their three part system is what was recommended to me by a well known bronco builder in NC. The KBS system works so well you can paint it over galvanized metal and won't flake off if done correctly. Keep in mind once you open it the shelf life is short. I plan to do my axles with their stuff but that later down the road.

I used KBS for my frame and am using it as a primer for the floors, underside, and engine compartment. I've also used it on some other parts. Flows to a finish like glass. You can see my build for the pix. Only 3 issues: 1) whatever it touches and dries to, it won't come off. Brushed it on the frame, and used a cheap HF sprayer ($9.99 with coupon) with their plastic cups on the floors and engine compartment, and just tossed it when I was done. 2) pay attention to your temps. Above 85 degrees and you'll have to add their special thinner #1 or it will leave brush marks like I discovered which is why I switched to spraying; 3) non-UV protected so you'll have to cover it with a primer if you're going to paint, or a paint (like on the frame - I used black) after 4 hours before it completely hardens, or you'll have to sand to get anything to stick. I sprayed a scrap piece of metal to test, then sprayed a color over it the next day without sanding and it peeled off like it was on a Teflon pan. It's absolutely, perfectly smooth surface when dry.

I've been using it as well, did rust repair on my floor pans and bed a couple of years ago and coated the areas with it. I followed the instructions and preped throughout as recommended, as stated above it drys smooth and shines. I was actually kinda fun to work with, I store my rig outside all year in New England, after two winters the areas look the same as the day I did it. I would defiantly recommend it.

Rust Bullet claims to have UV protection on their website.

Used it on my radius arms, trac bar, parts of my frame and various other suspension components when installing my lift. Really liked the outcome and durability. I also purchased many small cans and only opened what I needed at the time.
