This 68 was on eBay and built some confusion and maybe a little serenity for some. Seller was largely unaware. But had heard it might have a Stroppe rollbar. It also had: Power steering, Auto trans conversion with adapter and cooler, steering wheel, dual shocks, flares, and an aluminum intake/4bbl.

Love it! Glad to see my old mags are on a righteous rig. I'd love to get these rigs together for a pic someday.

Yes it would. Fab fords would be great. But I'm not sure I can make 2017. We should have a stroppe summit sometime...

Lets ad this little guy. Chelsea Green Kit. Still a mystery as to how it ended up with the "stuffs" from Stroppe - Deluxe Marti sheds no light - but appears to have been a full kit Baja at one point with chrome wheels, flares, rollbar, Auto and PS. And likely the steering wheel, braces, etc, but signs of the pieces to say for absolute sure - will need to go over with a fine tooth comb.

I remember when Passauf called me on this truck years ago. He explained what it was and asked what I thought. Based on the date and what parts it had, I said, "Maybe a demo." He ended up with a Marti report for it and called me back and was amazed that I called it. Haven't come across alot of Martis that say that.

In the picture of the green one above showing the shock tower, the extra modded piece of metal to mount the second shock, mine had that, looked exactly like that. My 73 was from El Paso and supposedly was a chase vehicle for the baja races, 351 and all the heavy duty stuff like that shock mount. Was that shock mount only used on stroppe?

The dual shock mounts have been around a long time. As early as 67 with Stroppe. Many companies copied them over the years, and I believe Duff or wild horses still make them. Probably Toms too. The shapes, holes and shapes of the lower tabs are all a bit different with everyones take on whats best. I looked at your build thread. Nice Bronco! I saw one pic of the lower radius arm bracket for that auxiliary shock and it shows only one hole. I believe that was probably a KbarS dual shock kit or another brand that came in later. The stroppe variety has a different shape with more choices for bolts to go thru.
