leak at start up

guys
thanks to everyone who helped me with timing/distributor problem.
motor starts perfect ,idle perfect.new ebrk intk,ebrk carb. idles apprx 5
mins gets hot something leaks onto driver exhaust mnfld. smokes like
crazy. oil? what is back there that would leak onto mnfld? dont get it
engine purrs accelerates beautiful,no ticking ,tapping hesitation,cant take
much more. want to drive. by the way is not valve cover .
help

I have this same thing happening. I found the problem on mine... I have an oil leak coming from under the valve cover on the pass. side. I have the "Bronco" script cast covers and am affraid to torque it down too tight. If you have stock steel covers, take them off and use a hammer to tap the bolt holes to a more concave form. Then you can get some winged washers to help distribute the pressure.

false alarm. i guess the new grip tite hand tighten oil filter
should still be double checked with a wrench.
