Well turned out it was the igntion box...also found a leak in the fuel pump while I was at it so replaced that as well. So, its back together and running again, just in time to go on a camping trip ;D . Thanks for the help guys!

I also had the pin sheer off on the distributor shaft, had to buy a HEI distributor to fix the problem.
