We are looking at making longer speedometer to Dana 20 cables. These would address the need for a longer cable when using longer transmissions such as ZF, AOD, C6, NV 4500 etc. We are estimating retail cost right at $70 would anyone else need this part? What have some of you done to solve this problem? Thanks for the help.

I haven't installed my 4R70W yet, but this will be an item I'll need to purchase. Count me in.

I got the stock cable to fit with my NV4500, but have a VSS at the Dana20, and had to undo the stock clamp on the body brace under the drivers floor. Needless to say, it's tight.

How much longer are you thinking of making the new cables? I'm thinking I only really need another 6-8 inches.

You may also want to look at making them work with VSS sensors if needed.

The 4R70W was happy with a stock cable. But a little longer and a proper VSS would be a marketable item.

np205 is the same as a d20 as far as speedo cables go. I used my stock speedo cable on my zf/205 setup but had to run it in through the drain hole in the cold air box and then into the cab via the little door there on the inlet box. Not ideal but it was free.

I've bought three from "you" over the years, two were sent from AA...yup, there's a market out there!

: )

Got the latest one for a '56 Chevy resto-mod. Just happened to fit!

Thanks!
