Congratulations Dennis, that's a cool story and a nice Bronco. Does Jimmy know you bought his old Bronco.

Thanks for all the well wishes fellows, it's still sinking in that it is mine! I went through the papers in the dash and all the paperwork on the Warn 8274 is in there with the warranty papers. I thought about sending them in so the warranty would be validated! LOL!

The grill guard/push bar is a little weird looking, but the paper work is also present for it! It is a "Warn Winch Guard No. 11173" "Applicable for Specific Warn 8274 Mounting Kits", with parts lists for "Bronco-1977 and prior".

Hey Chad ...No Jimmy has no idea that I have his old Bronco. He knows that I am a Broncoholic, but probably thought that Bob would never sell it.
I am planning to get pics of Jimmy with it. Jimmy is still very active and works as a concrete sales person for the local ready-mix co. He is still an active hunter, hunting turkeys mostly; He takes off work for the whole turkey season... 8 or 9 weeks!

Why Porky?

My cousin Jimmy was known as "Porky" by all this ole' cronies, so his Bronco was always known as "Porky's Bronco". My girls thought that "Porky" would be a good name for the new Bronco.....so, now "you know the rest of the story!";)

Porky sounds awesome. Are you planning to surprise Jimmy with the news? You should plan a hunting trip with him and show up in the bronco ;D

Great looking Bronco. It's very similar to mine but mine is Dark Jade Metallic. What size tire is on it?

Hey Knight. The tires are 33-12.50 BFGs. I would guess the lift is a 3". It was lifted in 1979.

Here's a few pics of the manuals and instructions that were in the dash of the Warn accessories on the Bronco that were installed in the '70's.

Also, on the Alabama Title Application, the mileage says 3.5; not much test driving!
