he told me that it has about 16k original on it. Can't really see in the pic but there is a paper taped to the glovebox stating a speedo replacement had taken place.

A replacement speedo at only 16 thousand miles? That'd have to be a tad unusual I would think. Not that it couldn't happen of course. I would guess that some have trouble out of the factory. But it still sounds strange.

Would like to see what the paper says.

If it was a plow truck, I think 5k is a bit much even though it is uncut. I would not be surprised if the whole underside of the truck needs replacing. In other words, radiator support to tailgate which we all know is a lot of work. no more than 3.5k I would say.
