OK, here's the deal on the mass buy for the BC Broncos gas tank.

What: 24 Gallon rear fuel tank through BC Broncos
How much: Tank w/ skid plate $310 (normally $375) or tank w/o skid plate for $279 (normally $310) + shipping + tax if you're in California
How many people: We need a minimum of 20 people to make the deal go through
How long: All orders need to be placed by Friday, Oct 18th.
Payment: All payments will be made directly to BC Broncos so that a third party doesn't have to be in charge of your money.

If you want in on this deal please email fetchin at elioart1@yahoo.com with the following info:

  • What is your measurement between frame rails at the tank? Looks like some EB's vary.
  • Do you want one with or without a skid plate?
  • Do you need filler and vent hoses? ($15 for the set)
  • Your name, phone number, email and full mailing address with zip code to calculate shipping cost.

Let me remind everyone that the only way a mass buy works is if everyone who says they're in is really in. So do not add yourself to the list unless you are absolutely, positively and without a doubt sure you'll be buying one. If you say you'll buy one and then don't you could ruin it for the entire group. :-U

Here's the description of the tank and skid plate as taken from the BC Broncos site:
The ultimate Early Bronco fuel tank is here! Newly re-designed with cleaner lines and an ingenious new mounting system, this replacement fuel tank is designed to withstand years of hard-core four wheeling. The new track-mount system allows you to mount the tank in any Bronco, regardless of body lift, as high as possible to get maximum ground clearance. This tank is designed to take advantage of all available space to maximize fuel capacity, increasing your range. The kit includes tank, mounting bracketry, sender, hardware and instructions. The optional skid plate can be bolted on.

If anyone has any questions post them here. Thanks!

I have bought it before for this same type project, I believe it is called green stripe hose.<br><br>If ya can't get it locally I know ya can buy it thru McMaster Carr's catalog. I just finished looking it up and they have a couple of different versions that are available in 2" ID. Only hitch to this is that they have a minimum length and you might need to work out a split with other 77 owners.<br><br>Hope this helps ya out.

The tank hange 3" below the bumper without a body lift so if you have a 2" body lift it would only hang 1" below the bumper. <br> The tank filler is 1 3/4" so if you use a 1 3/4" hose you should be able to get it onto your 2" filler but it will be hard. To find the total cost including shipping let the GB know that you are interested and when he submitts the list we will send your total. We will need your add w/zip,phone #,e-mail add.

I'm going to be in this deal if enough people sign up. Question - will Chuck allow us to pick up the tank. I know where he is - grew up in the area - and travel by his off ramp quite often?

A sample of shipping charges; shipping to zip code 35010= $33.94 .If you can't wait for the shipping<br> info you can go to ups.com and find the shipping, my zip code is 92345 so if you act like you are<br> sending something that is 70 lbs.to me from your zip you should be very close.

You can pretty much think of it this way: Free shipping. The shipping is about $30-35, and you are saving $30 (on the tank alone, more with a skid plate). Sounds like a good deal to me, I wish I didn't already have one. <br>-Eric

I'm just "da' man" temporarily to get this thing off the ground. Between fechin, Bones and I we'll figure out who the GB is pretty soon. I'll just forward any emails to that person at that point.

HOWEVER, it may all be a moot point since NO ONE has emailed that they're in yet. :'(

Edit 9/27/02 - OK that's more like it. A few folks have emailed that they're in so we're on our way. :)
