First Sergant is a class act sorry to hear about this, I posted a want add for some door limiting straps and he emailed me and said he had a pair he would give me and the shipping was one him! What a guy we have never met or had any dealings before but a couple days later they show up and are now on my Bronco.

Had a similar dealing with a member on here...bought a radiator from me and was told a couple times that I didn't know it's internal condition, sent pictures, yada yada yada...he also wanted a complete rear 1 foot section off my '66...said to cut the floor section out to save on shipping, so I cut it up, boxed it, weighed it and told him the shipping cost...he tells me too bad so sad, never cut anything up until you have the cash and that he bought a section somewhere else...

I took his word that he wanted it as a promise to take it and pay up. he took it as a way to get me back for selling him a junk radiator (even though he was told of it's unknown condition)...I'll never trust this scumbag-lower-than-whale-shiet member again...

99% of the people on here are great, trustworthy and of good character...the others are, well, you know.

I agree. Most people on here are awesome and trust worthy. I was part of another EB site and because I am a girl, the guys treated me like shit. This site is awesome and everyone I have come across has been great to me....Kind of off the subject...sorry I had to give my broncos brothers on here a pat on the back! ;-)

Sorry FirstSergeant for the difficulties you're having with your transaction, and Sorry to the rest of you who have had similar difficulties, and/or lost money in this type transaction. But I just can't agree with what seems is rapidly becoming a Mob Mentality in this, and similar threads. I expect to see, any post now, someone suggest to "Go get a rope...!"

As hard as it may be for FirstSergeant to accept that he does not know why things happened the way they did, the only thing FirstSergeant and any of us knows, is that we don't know anything. However unlikely you all may think there is a reasonable explaination for all this, the truth is, there really may be a reasonable explaination. Think about it for a minute, and see if you can make up a reasonable explaination. I bet you can!!!

I'm all for posting a warning when a transation goes bad, but only when all the facts are brought out. And that will, most likely, only happen when FirstSergeant hears back from they guy he's dealing with. Until then, everything is speculation.

it does look like he has been on here for a little while, still doesn't change things though. I sold someone on here a bikini top had the wife get wrapped and shipped, well it got to him and my wife forgot the riser (i think that is what was missing) anyway he said he would pay for the shipping on the other piece which was nice but no way i would let him do it. it wasn't his fault it was mine, really my wife's:-X anyway i think i went in the hole or close to it on that but oh well, note don't let your wife pack and ship parts for you;D

Mike Homan, i apologize if there is something legitimate going on, but I would like the common decency of a response either way too.

i have a full set of new Duff fiberglass flares that have been sitting around forever. i bought them from a guy over in anchorage last fall. never been installed, welting & rivets still in the baggies. i think they were shipped up in '96 and the stuff all still had Duff's Sequim address.

anyways, i didnt want to break a perfectly good set on the alders and stuff up here, and he had a post a while back that he was looking for some and was in no hurry.
since shipping a big box from Kodiak, Alaska is comparable to govt aid to a third world country, i tried to find other methods of shipping them to Ohio.
i finally found a buddy moving down to CA and had room in his trailer. over the course of all this, Mike & i Pm'd about 15 times, all sounding legit. Now that they are in CA ready to ship, i cant get a word out of him. i wasnt too worried until reading this post. thankfully, i have not shipped the flares yet.

First Seargent, i hope that it works out for you, $20 is still $20.

i know when i used to be on the LS1Tech forums, they had a rating system for buyers/sellers and a "Shmuck" list of bum or bogus users. not sure how it is now, as i was last on there about three years ago.

I am pretty sure that was me. It was a very stand up thing to do. I felt bad for you because of double shipping, I was just really happy to have a top.

it's the noreply/nocontact thing that makes it a bad deal, everyone has problems and that don't make you a bad person, BUT even if you got problems ya still gotta be a man, (or woman where applicable )
