Man if you are nearly stock motor then just buy a modern gear reduction starter from Ford. I have had mine on my old 302 now for 4 years and it still works fine and its lifetime garanteed by the guy down the street.

Just ask for a starter from a 93 F150 with whatever engine size you have and an auto or manual transmission to match you bronco. Cheaper than the other options and it will at least be gauranteed for a lifetime.

X2 just buy local. The new style are decent and at least you dont have to wait for it to come in the mail. Someone has instructions posted somewhere on how to wire in the new starter its not that hard.
I kinda like the simplicity of the orginal starters and have never really had any issues with them I know my current one has been working fine for th last 12 years.

yeah my original starter is 18 years old but with the motor mods new trans t-case clutch ect it strugles to turn it over. the 93 f-150 for the manual trans starter is $164 . if someone has the diagram or instructions on the wiring i'l give it a shot
