MEB Fall Cruise, Sept 29, 2012 Eastern MD

OK everyone everything is set weather looks good low to mid 70s and sunny. Drew cant wait to see your broncos in person. Chris what time do you think you will get to the camp ground? Maybe I will try and swing by tonight after work.

Should be there before 7pm.
Cool. My house is a stones throw away from the camp ground. Are Judy and Drew both camping there too?

Got here a little after 7pm. Traffic was horrible through Philly and Delaware. Nice little campground. Somebody forgot the milk.
Judy is coming for the day, Drew is staying in a hotel last i heard.

We got to the Day's Inn around 4:30.
We parked the Volvo and trailer at the hotel and unloaded the Ambulance to take to dinner. Just got back from a nice dinner at the Tidewater Inn.
Lou Levy and his wife Becky are headed down on his Harley in the AM. His mother in law is bringing down Grace (Lou and Becky's daughter) in a car and they will all be staying here as well.
I just talked to AJ Portmann and he and Stephanie are planning to ride down from PA on his bike just for the day.
See you guys in the AM!

My family had a great time. Huge thanks to ep67bro for setting up the itinerary and your parents for delivering and setting up lunch. Thanks Drew for the seat in the roadster. Tyler wouldn't stop talking about his ride either.

We just got back from dinner at the Crab Claw next to the Museum we went to today. Had a great seafood dinner on the water and the weather was perfect.
Got the Broncos loaded and strapped down in the trailer and ready to roll out in the AM.
Had a great time today and saw some great scenery! Thanks much to Evan and Rob for making the arrangements!
We have attended all nice of the annual MEB Fall Cruises and always have a great time spending the day with everyone!

I want to echo allenfahey in saying thank you to everyone that helped plan, organize, and pull this trip together.
My family and I had a lot of fun ... though it could be a few days until my kids forgive me for not putting the top on the Bronco before the trip.
This was the first real shakedown drive I have put my truck through since building it and I was very happy with how it handled the trip. No important pieces fell off
Thank you again. My family and I look forward to more events.

But for a good reason. You two were missed yesterday. Take good care of Kyle during her recovery. She is in our family's thoughts and prayers.

MEB Fall Cruise "trail" repair...
On the way to dinner in the Balloon Chaster Ambulance on Friday night, my dad pulled out of the hotel and we heard an awful sound! He pulled over, and I looked under to see if we had dropped a driveshaft.
All looked good from what I could see on my side, so we drove into town.
He made another sharp right hand turn, and it did it again!
He pulled over again, and I looked all around and found that the an upper shock mount nut on the Stroppe mount had come loose and the shock was rubbing on the tire.
I did not have any tools or another 1/2-20 nut in the Bronco, so I told my mom to look in the Glove box to see if there was a zip tie, wire, etc.
She found a red bandanna which we later identified as the one Karl must have used at the Roundup for the blind obstacle course.
I stuck the bolt back though the hole and tied it in place with the bandanna until we got back to the trailer after dinner where I grabbed a spare lug nut to secure it for the cruise.
Thanks for setting the bandanna in the Ambulance Karl! I will be sure to wash it before next year's Roundup!;D
