Mojave Road

So I'm heading out to drive the Mojave Road next week. Any recommendations, warnings or advice?

Find a copy of Dennis Casebier's book, "Mojave Road Guide" and take it along. Makes the trip a lot more interesting if you know what happened at various places along the route.
