Ha! It's the snowball effect Art. Figured since the engine was out that I may as well go through the body. The kick panels, floor pans, and passenger rocker are finished.
I knew the drivers B-pillar was bad when I bought the rig back in '04, I just lived with it. What surprised me was the amount of body filler along the front & rear edges of the bed floor and around the bottom of the pillar. I bet someone laid in a full quart of it...over the rust...essentially bonding the floor together with tiger hair filler.
Installing the new B-pillar and windshield frame today. The new bed floor, corner extensions, and rear wheel houses should arrive next week. The short break in sheet metal work will give me time to go through the dash wiring harness and repair what is bad in that.
Planning on driving this to May It Forward, so yes, the motivation here is to get Randy out of his house and into the garage. ;D
