Need some help here - my truck won't fire. I had the motor running before I pulled it, has new HEI ignition, Centech Harness, rebuilt carb. It's getting gas, but the spark seems a little weak and it just won't fire.

Any ideas where to start? I checked tdc and have the distributor where it needs to be. All grounds look good - I double checked all of them.

It's an 85 Mustang motor - carb

jump a spark from the coil lead. if good then jump a spark from #1 cylinder. check ground to engine block

Thanks, I'll try that. I am pretty sure I have an HO motor, and just found that the HO follows the 351 firing order, so I am going to try the different order as well.

Jeremy, Yep it should be a 351 W firing order, same as mine. I thought you had an earlier engine. I bet its running right now.
