My Hydroboost upgrade.

Is it necessary to mount on the angle bracket? IMHO the hydroboost install looks cleaner when mounted directly to the firewall. Though I do see that the firewall mount option usually requires a custom plate, I've seen setups where no plate is used, just the one already mounted to the hydroboost unit itself. Any insight, because in my case the wall mount option would free up some space.
