OK...need a custom hi pressure power steering hose. All of the local hose shops dont have the 7/16" flare fitting that goes to the ps box. Found one shop that will take my old hose end and solder it to a fitting to make up the hose. What has everyone else found while making up custom hi pressure ps hoses?

Try the Hoseman in Irwindale CA. If you have your old hose they can usually recrimp new hose onto it. If not they can get the right fittings they do it all the time. There may be a Hoseman closer to you out there in semi. they recently started branching out. You can also try local truck supply shops or hydraulic shops they deal with making stuff for tractors and trucks. Stay away from speed shops most of them want to convert to braided hoses and not all fittings are available. You may want to also look up earls fittings they did alot to convert automotive stuff to aircraft.

Earl's makes an adapter to use AN/JIC hoses on the PS box. Make sure you use the high pressure hose with steel hose ends.

There is a place right on the 91 Freeway in Riverside somewhere that does custom work and they are very extensive in their selection. If I remember the name I will post it.
