This is a total guess, but I think there is actually 3 diff size bearings. I have a 75 and it has the big ones and the 76& 77's also have the big ones. The others are small I think.

Big Bearing has a Big bearing and 1/2 bolts that hold axle plate. Medium bearing has big bearing and 3/8 bolts holding axle plate and I havent ever seen any other ones.

Thanks for the info. I finally found a parts truck ( 66 bRUSTco half cab ) and the guy gave me a dana 44 with disc brakes and another 9 inch rear. I was wondering if the 9 inch is stronger than the one in my 69. I'll figure it out. Thanks again

I've actually got Torino ends on mine(thanks to a mixup at Curries). Chuck(BC Broncos) says he sees this often enough that he's going to rig a disk conversion for it too. I believe the bearing is the same size as the EB big bearing but with different measurements on the bolt pattern.

Where were you this morning ? I went out in the monsoon and couldn't put my roof on all alone.Right now the only hand I need is finding me some more Broncos for kinda cheap. I have no retirement plan at work so I'm trying to come up with a new game plan. I would like to meet you some time. When I start working on something I'll be sure and let you know :)
