need help decoding glovebox data plate 1972

trying to figure out the axle, but I can't find it with basic google search. Can someone help with any of the following? 1972 color = Z, trans = C, axle = 29, DSO = 52

I can't seem to post a pic of it because it doesn't have a url but it's pretty clear it's a 29. Not a B. There's a couple of other 2s on the tag they look the same. So maybe it's a factory error?
