Last week I installed my Dana 44 and everything along with it. I’m trying to install everything for the rear end and I’m confused about my shocks. I feel like they should have double loops on each end instead of one loop and a stud is there a part that I’m missing?

I have the Horizontal stud up top and the two sided bracket on the bottom. Looks like all the shocks are the same for front and rear.

This was a 3.5 lift I bought from wild horses I wonder if I ordered it wrong or if I was sent front shocks in all boxes?

The early 66 Rear shock was a stud at the top and mounted to a frame bracket in front of the axle. The later 66, 67 to 77 was a loop end on the top and mounted to a stud on the frame behind the axle. You got a 66 rear shock, possibly?

For stock mounts, your fronts are correct. Rear should be 'loop' top and bottom.

Yep,looks like they gave you front shocks (stud at top ). Rear shocks should be eye on top, eye on bottom. Time to give them a call, WildHorses has a great customer support base. They will help you. ;)

Well dang. Sorry about that mputty.
If that stud-end shock came in an 88116 box, it was definitely mis-boxed and you're not crazy after all. That's the only good news though!

Being a weekend (of course) nobody is at the shop to check the other boxes, and no UPS pickup scheduled anyway. So dead until Monday no matter what.

I'll send a pre-mail right now so that someone is on it and can be ready for when you call. Or if you don't have time to call in Monday morning, PM me here with your info and I'll take care of it for you and get two more coming.
You did check both boxes, and they're both the same?

Thanks. And again, sorry for the hassle. And the delayed progress!

Paul
