Need help with the Electric choke

I am getting different answers on where i should run the positvie power on the electric choke on my edelbrock carb...some people say it goes to the alternator somewhere some say to the starter side of the solenoid...im not good with electric...just put this engine in a couple weeks ago...

The stator terminal of the alternator is the stock location and is only powered when the alternator is working (engine running). The starter side of the solenoid would only be hot during cranking.

The terminal marked STA.
