Need Longer Front Wheel Studs P/N???

Hello All,
Got a pretty semi-simple question. On the 1977 Dana 44 front end the wheel studs are 2" long, the knurl diameter is 0.625 and the knurl shoulder is 0.9062 - here is autozone webpage -http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/1978-Ford-Bronco/Wheel-Stud/_/N-in092Z6o25b?filterByKeyWord=wheel+stud&fromString=search

So my question is does anyone know if they make something that will press in and are about 2 1/2" long or a little longer-- the aluminum wheels I am running on the front are pretty thick and not engaging the lug nuts fully-- which really bothers me. I have found Dorman number 610-277 that should work but its only a 1/4" over the stock units. I have a hydraulic press if the are a little bigger and need to be encouraged to go in.

Thanks,
Matt

Stock is 2" -- Dorman goes to 2 1/4 -- if you go to a 5/8" stud it's a non issue but that unleashes its own issues as well.

they are perfect IF the knurling length was about 1" - those are about 1/2" max.-- would work for the rear though

Hey MC -- did you have to modify the hub/rotor or the wheel to make the 9/16" studs to work??

No, not at all. Same size knurl. I drove out the old studs with an air hammer, replaced my worn out rotors with new ones, repacked the bearings, drove in the new studs, and reinstalled the assembly.

I don't have the part # but ARP makes some. $13 each (OUCH). I think the rear were Moroso?? from summit or jegs cheap compared to front. I used long open ended lugs. Worked out well, looks sweet. I'll check around for my receipt for part #.
