The reversed inlet Champion rad has worked great with my Explorer Serp system.
Great fit....$156 bucks with free shipping on Ebay.
Don't tighten the top rad mounts down super tight. Doesn't need it anyway. Gives it a little wiggle room since these aluminum rads don't like to flex with our eb core supports when you are heavily articulated in the rocks.

Maintains below 205° in central Florida summer traffic.
My 4 core copper brass rad could not do that but that is because it was so thick that I couldn't run a fat fan with it.

Explorer Serp gives you extra room for the fan. So fat Explorer fan and thin 3 core aluminum reverse inlet rad and my temps are under control....finally.

I know that a $400 dollar Ron Davis or a $300 dollar Be Cool rad will possibly do better. A copper brass with this bad ass Explorer fan would too.

I bought the Champion rad because it allowed me to mock everything up so that when the time came I could switch over to the more expensive, Ron Davis, Be Cool, or WH triple pass very easily.

But I have been very impressed with my Champion rad. It was only $156 bucks with free shipping.

I used the Explorer junk yard ps pump for mock up only as well and it is still performing flawlessly too. Sandman left it attached to the Explorer Serp brackets he sent me. It is better than my 15+ year old Saginaw conversion. A lot better.

Sometimes I am just damn lucky though....

I saw good reviews for the Champion rad's so I decided to get one in '15 when I did my 423hp 347 stroker swap (from '92 Mustang 5.0 roller) with explor front dress & stock explor clutch fan & custom shroud. It has been flawless in three 1000+ mile Baja races plus all the other long desert trips I've gone on. Avg temp racing is 190. Avg temp crawling is 195-200. Very inexpensive for their performance value. You can get them with stock input or reversed. Cooling is a big deal with these old Broncos. Another note - My inner fenders are gone as well, so that allows total air flow through the engine compartment which helps keep it cool.
I also have a separate CBR cooler with fan for my C-4.
