I pulled my rear axles apart and need to replace the axle seals and wheel bearings. I also need an adjuster spring for the drum brake.

Can someone help me with part numbers? I did a search and didn't come up with anything.

I have the 28 spline, small bearing axles.

This is the only thing that I can find online that I think would work.

BCA/NATIONAL Part # RA313 {Bearing/Oil Seal Kit}
Rear Axle; Ford 9" R.G.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Bearings and seals should just be for any small bearing 9", and a generic drum brake spring kit should work for the springs. I suggest you go to NAPA or other old school parts store, unless you know the actual part number the Autozone, or O'reilley's stores are worthless. But what your asking for is nothing out of the ordinary even for them, but they will want to know if it has AC, Power steering, and a AM radio before they can look up the axle seals...

Looks ok but I dont have a parts book to verify any of that. The key in getting the correct parts is knowing what your axle is rated for ie 2750 and what size your brakes are. Those 2 factors will get you the correct parts from most parts stores.

I think a parts house could easily beat those prices, and while your going through all that trouble, why not replace the wheel cylinders while it's apart and just start fresh?

BTW I've never been successful looking up correct part numbers at rockauto.com. I usually look up at napaonline, then crossreference to see if autozone or oreilley's is any different, but prefer napa stuff generally...

I have the small bearing, 28 spline axles -- isn't that the 2,750 lb rating? Can anyone verify?

I didn't buy the parts at RockAuto -- I got them from a local parts place. The prices were similar though.

Napa seems way overpriced most times I check.

There are pretty much only 2 axle ratings 2780 or 3300 lb. with small bearings and 10 in brakes you have the 2780 lb axle.
NAPA's online prices are usually higher than what you pay at the store. Also if you shop there regularly you can usually get a even better price break although it depends on who I talk to at the counter.
