Just a thought, but if your just building it to sell, then the paint is one of the biggest selling points. Red is probably the most popular color, so thats where I would head with it. Lookin good, keep the pics coming!

Yeah I know resell red but 6 out of the 8 broncos I have owned have had a coat of red paint on them, including this one originally. I have thought about it, actually wouldn't mind doing all red with the special decor stripes on it. It's just red :-X

Hey coach, yup working 2-3 days a week running a math pull out program at my old school. They are paying me well so I said sure.

A little progress today, motor is ready to drop on the frame, need to take it off the stand seal up the back and mount the trans and t-case then lower onto the frame. So nice working with no tub in the way.

If you are wondering...its a Bronco 302, 20 over, fresh build with HO RV cam, aftermarket aluminum heads, explorer serpentine setup, explorer intake and efi, Driven Auto crank pulley.

Upper is just bolted on for grins and giggles ;D

Got the engine dropped on the frame and bolted up, started temporarily bolting up the explorer serpentine brackets to assure fitment, did a little massaging on the left alternator bracket bottom to help clear the frame. Also if you have your motor tilted just the slightest it will cause interference. I rotated it and put a level on it and cleared with minimal flap discing to the bottom of the bracket. I'll remove all of it, clean and paint it with some alumiblast to match the rest of the aluminum parts. Threw the headers on to check fitment and clearance, looks good.
Still need to get my paws on some torque converter nuts before I can bolt up the trans and t-case. Painted the t-case the same Ford blue as the motor.

Rolled the uncut out of the garage so I could access the frame and motor (body and frame are sideways in the 3rd car bay). Thought it looked lonely so I gave it a bath and snapped a pic while the boys rode their bikes ;D

Well started to mount the transmission up and found out that the C4 case is a car case fill. Not a ton of difference as far as internals especially after a rebuild but the bellhousing takes a 157 tooth flywheel and torque converter AND block starter dowel plate. So if anyone else comes across an issue similar this is what you have to do. Thought I would post it so the info is in the build thread. Starter is supposed to be the same either way.

My 4 yo is sitting next to me and saw the pic of the blue uncut and said "That's a cool bronco Daddy, I wish you would buy that Bronco!!"

I'm trying to raise him right!!

Good deal, smart boy. My 5 year old was helping me to put the transmission in, he was manning the engine hoist to lift the motor as I slid the trans onto the block...I think I only let 1 muffled profanity loose when I saw the block plate not aligning with the trans...woops!

I'm trying to find a motor to go in that uncut so I can start driving it to work. I hate not having one that is easy to drive to work. My trail rig is a bit of a pain and not quite the street manners I would like yet.

Oh dont get me wrong, that stuff will come off and get cleaned and or painted.
I just wanted to mount it up and check my clearances to see if I needed to massage the left bracket (which I did - and tilted the engine a tad). And be sure I had all the correct bolts. I'd like to get it all pc'd but I dont have that connection currently. I'll likely clean it up and hit it with some alumiblast paint to match the intakes.

Hey Fungus...whats up with all that carburetor stuff on that motor??? ;D:-*

Got the right block plate for the 157 tooth flywheel, mounted up the transmission, mounted up the transfer case, installed new crossmember bushings bolts and washers. Finished up the brake lines, new prop valve, new axle to frame soft lines. Installed new starter, discovered that the bottom hole was stripped out....thanks...heli-coiled it, worked great.

Removed the serpentine setup, totally disassembled, spent about an hour and a half scrubbing green paint and grease off the brackets and accessories. Hung it all up and painted the brackets with a cast aluminum paint. PS pump cleaned and painted, along with its pulley. Took all the idlers off and cleaned them up, bearings seemed good. Got it all reassembled minus my missing alternator %) not sure where that one went.

Distributor installed and timing set to about 12* so I just need to install wires correctly and be sure I have fuel and it "should" fire first couple tries.

Next step will be to roll the tub over and clean it and spray liner on it. No panels to replace on this one! WooHoo!

Hey Tito, what year is the one you are building? I think I might have asked you before, but I've slept since then!
