Do you know the measurements on your new driveshafts? I just dropped off the original rear one to get shortened. My measurement was 29" on the rear and 26 on the front. That is from the center of each u joint at each end.

It was a Great Day, The Bronco Gods smiled at both Me and my brother, I found the 4 seats I wanted at the bone yard, black, leather, seat belts integrated and 95% good, no tears, rips or stains. $150 dllrs for the 4! PICS tomorrow.

The 351W fuel injection is 99% done, is started we just need to set the timing, re bundle the wires and test drive. we did move it back and forth and the Hydro-boost is awesome. we looked for spark and had to pull a vacuum on the low pressure pump at the accumulator, then set the distributor, we where 180 0ff the first try, moved and BROOOMMMM, I must say that is sounds 30% louder than my 5.0 cobra engine.

My Bro was happy and I feel like I came thru on a promise, now I can concentrate on my EB!!

I have a couple of things to try on the brakes problem, but need to go buy a reservoir, mine broke when I took it of from the MC to put on the new one from autozone. I called the dealer and it is obsolete, called and looked online and could not find one, it is the one for a 99-04 mustang GT.

I will swing by the bone yard Saturday morning to pick one up.

I stopped by the surplus store to get new hardware for the seats and the 2 middle body mounts, I plan to finish the body mounts, mount the seats and with gods help figure out the brakes issue. if I am lucky, I also want to install the transmission to column shifting mechanism, IO have all the parts already, some fabing will be required,.

got reservoirs

went to the Pick-a-Part and got 2 reservoirs for $11.50, one from a 96 GT stang and one from a 2000 ranger. the ranger one is not at an angle like the stang is. took my broken one to compare the spacing and diameter of the 2 couplings.
I am going to use the Ranger one cause it is level ;D;D;D;D

tried to bench bleed MC and it felt like it was pressurizing, tried again and no luck. removed to bench on vise and it was getting stuck about 1/2 ways in, then it let go. I went to Orilleys to swap, no San Diego store had one, it will be here tomorrow at noon.

sounds like Seat install ins the AM, then brakes and Boxing show in Tijuana with my inlaws!!!

 here is the next 9 items to work on before the maiden test drive:
1- Trans shifting linkage install: design and fabricate.
2- Steering: replace hose on PS pump return, remove PS cooler, Fab/install sheet metal column and tighten bolts.
3- Start switch and fan: run wires and power seat belts.
4- Transfer case shifter: Cut sheet metal on floor, install, bend.
5- Lights: install HID head lights, LED Flasher and LED tail lights. Buy front marker/turn and side markers and install.
6- Front clip: fabricate easy to remove attachments, weld grill to fenders internally.
7- Hood. Install hood pins and mount with clips.
8- Have 4th tire fixed and install.
9- 5 more gallons of Gas, check all fluids and Test drive!! ;D

I do not have to change any yokes on the 205 they all match up, just had to shorten the rear shaft and lengthen the front. Looks like they are with an inch of each so I can swap them if needed.

Removed the axle shaft from the rear end and it is a big bearing medium duty axle. the spline count is 28 and the explorer backing plate fits perfectly.

I am going to buy new bearings and seals. I will have the Currie spacer put in when I press the new bearings in.;D

I am also going to look for a 2 spline locker.;D;D;D;D;D

What is the currie spacer for? I am starting my explorer rear disc swap now.

it basically makes up for the extra space added by the thick disc back plates. the drum backplates are really thin compares to the disc ones. I gotta say the mini shoes for the e-brake are a PITA to deal with!

So I could just cut some out in the garage I imagine. Do you happen to know the thickness?

I just looked up on their website, $25 is a ripoff for what it is.

you can get the thickness by measuring the drum and disc backing plates, they are the difference.

I already installed mine, and YES if you have the tube and access to a lathe or otehr cutting device it should be less money!

jajaja, yes, but I like reading my progress and noting how life happens around my Bronco build.
Pat I am pretty high strung at work and sometimes with family, the Bronco is some sort of escape, I do my fair share of alcohol therapy also! cheers!

Don't worry I am watching both your builds. I'm just not sure how many times you want to hear "good Job!". That's about all I'm good for these days... Keep the build threads going so I can copy all your mods. ;)
