Frank has been driving for years with the later-style speedo end simply slipped over the threads on his stock eB speedo. I think in that time, he's had to reach under the dash & pull it back up twice. Certainly not often enough for him to justify the cost of a custom cable, especially when he can recognize what happened, why, and fix it himself with so little effort. I guess I could make it stay semipermanently with a couple of zip-ties, but it's just not an issue. So he's using the D20 with the '88 VSS & '88 speedo cable going to the '75 speedo. No real mods - just a mixture of "stock" parts that seems to work fine for daily driving & wheeling to train dogs about 3x a week.
