Sorry if this has been posted before but I could not find anything on it when I searched for it. I just installed a new turn signal switch on my 74 because the right brake light did not work. Now when I checked all the safety functions (the blinkers work, hazards work, both brake lights work) but no the running lights do not work. If I turn the blinkers on while the lights are turned on the bulb stays solid and not flash and when I turn on the lights with the hazards on the lights will flash. Thank you in advance for your help.

4 way flashers and the turn signals use different flashers, running lights are the dim filament and the brake and stop lights share the bright filament.

did you check the bulb before changing the turn signal switch?
usually the problem is the last thing you monkeyed with.

Not sure if it matters but I forgot to mention I also installed a new headlight switch already. Testing with a (Circuit tester) When the rear lightbulb is removed and the lights on the contact marked #3 shows power with a solid light and with the hazards/turn signals on the contact marked #2 shows power and flashes. All other running lights work (front/rear side markers and front markers-running light/turn signals). Changed light bulbs same results.
