Hola folks.
I just picked up a 70 a week or 2 ago that I'll be rebuilding from the ground up. I have intermediate skills, time on my hands, and a well equipped home shop. My first car was a 69 Mustang that got me through high school and all of college - total of 9yrs I owned it - had to learn to fix it to keep it on the road. Did a c4 Tranny change in the dorm parking lot over a few evenings.

Rough plan:
- Body cleanup (most of the steel will be replaced)
- Currie front/rear drivetrain (I'll just be purchasing the complete front/rear units to install)
- Convert to DiscBrakes and Power Steering
- Duff 2.5 suspension + 4 link
- Coyote swap with auto trans

If a there is a scale of 1 - 5, 1 being stock and 5 being a legit rock crawler.. I am aiming for like a 3. It will be my wife's weekend car when finished so aiming for reliability and drive-ability first and foremost.

I'll be using this instagram account + my youtube to share as I go. https://www.instagram.com/projectcortez/

I look forward to learning from you experts around here. Cheers.

Spent the $12 to support the site.

Here is what we are starting with gentlemen and ladies. A 70 in rough shape.. but solid bones.

Also.. a project logo I created cause I have too much time on my hands apparently.

I saw that one as well. Good luck, as mentioned there are a lot of good resources in AZ not too far away. I have been to Tucson twice in the last two weeks picking up parts.

Dog gone it. I knew I forgot something. I should have done a project logo.
Looks like a solid one. Running is always a plus. :)

Did you place that order you posted? haha

The first half of it yes. From the Rad to the transfer case..

Bendpak lift is being installed tomorrow.. and then can start stripping things down and prepare to lift the body off.
