So I've taken my 96 van Speed Density wiring harness and have converted it to Mass Air. I have everything wired up but the O2 sensors and I think I'm Jedi mind tricking myself.
So I'm using a 95 mustang GT ECU (because it works well with the wiring and remote TFI from the van) and the O2 sensors are the same for the 95 stang and the 96 van (same part numbers) only the stang has 2 so I'm adding an additional on to the van harness. No big deal......or so I thought
So I labeled the wires as I disassembled the van harness so I know how the van O2 wiring was. Looking at the plug clip up, reading left to right
Blue/yellow Signal return (pin 29 to the van ECU)
Gray/yellow Hot at Key on (Fused)
Black ground
Orange is HEGO ground (to the self test ground looping to pin 49 on the van ECU)
The wires form the van are in the same slots in all the plugs till it gets to the last plug at the O2 sensor. Then the wires are crossed as in not in the same location as the other plugs. Looking at the plug clip up, reading left to right
Gray/yellow Hot at Key Connects to a white wire on the O2
Black Connects to a white wire on the O2
Orange connects to the gray wire on the O2
Blue/yellow connects to black on the O2
I guess I'm freaked out the wires are in different locations in the last plug. Does the above sound right?
Should mention these are Bosch O2's
